My fellow Lyme doctor’s who rely on antibiotics often tell me that Bartonella is the most antibiotic resistant tick borne infection they encounter. Indeed, on 90% of patients who have been on multiple rounds of long-term antibiotics I find Bartonella is the bug they have not successfully eliminated. I believe the reason for this is Bartonella’s ability to hide too deep for the antibiotics to get at. Bartonella not only goes inside the cell to hide, it tricks the cell into forming a vacuole or “safe” which provides it an additional layer of protection. Only by extracting the Bartonella out of its safe hiding place can your immune system and any killing strategy gain access to this hide and go seek champion of bacteria.
Bartonella’s favorite cells to infect are the endothelial cells that line the blood vessels. One of the chief strategies it employs is inhibiting the body’s natural nitric oxide production thus altering blood flows to its own advantage and simultaneously neutering the immune system’s ability to fight the Bartonella. This product contains the key ingredient L-citrulline which enhances nitric oxide production and counteracts one of Bartonella’s chief strategies for its own survival. In addition, it has been shown that supporting nitric oxide inhibits Bartonella’s ability to shift and hide from killing strategies.
