Description

When a woman’s menstrual cycles slow down or cease entirely, this is an indication she is nearing or has reached the end of her fertile phase. Perimenopause and menopause usually occur in midlife when a woman is in her 40s and 50s. Unfortunately, cumbersome and uncomfortable symptoms can accompany these stages. Menopause Balance is specifically formulated to alleviate the symptoms associated with these stages in a woman’s life and provide a greater sense of well-being.

This product has similar ingredients to our Cycle Balance, but you will notice the order is changed because there are vastly different amounts of each ingredient in this mixture. It is formulated to balance hormones, help lower inflammation, and promote detoxification and lymph movement for women who are having irregular cycles or whose cycles have stopped completely. Menopause Balance is much heavier on the wild yam and Dong Quai content to help menopausal females more as estrogen and progesterone production in the ovaries fall dramatically in menopause.

During perimenopause, your cycles are beginning to stop occurring because your ovary production is diminishing. This can cause undesirable, frustrating, and painful symptoms, such as vaginal dryness and hot flashes. This is why we included higher doses of wild yam and Dong Quai and added black cohosh to the mix. We still included chaste tree berry, but at a much lower dose. During menopause, you still need some progesterone in your body. Both the wild yam and chaste tree berry support progesterone levels, but since the brain has stopped instructing the ovaries to produce an abundance of hormones, the wild yam is more helpful in this stage for progesterone production.

Wild yam (Dioscorea villosa) is a phytohormone, meaning it is a plant-produced substance that can act as a replication of human hormones. When wild yam is concentrated in a tincture, it can promote progesterone-like activity because it contains a concentrated amount of diosgenin, a chemical contained in wild yam.

Dong Quai helps strengthen thin vaginal tissue (also known as vaginal atrophy or atrophic vaginitis), which can help alleviate symptoms caused by lowered estrogen, such as vaginal dryness, pain during sex, and painful urinary problems. It also reduces other menopausal symptoms, including hot flashes. The dried roots of this plant contain coumarins, which are flavonoids and essential oils that act as active phytoestrogen constituents. At the clinic, we like to pair Dong Quai synergistically with other herbs.

Research on black cohosh (Cimicifuga racemosa) has shown its effectiveness in promoting a sense of calmness and mental health and may help menopause-related hot flashes and night sweats. Black cohosh is also beneficial to vaginal superficial cells and bone health. It accomplishes this without having negative effects on the endometrium or follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) levels. This root extract has had numerous studies done that have shown its effectiveness in balancing hormones during perimenopause and menopause.

This product also features chaste tree berry, but in lower amounts than other related products for women in earlier life stages. It provides some relief from many common symptoms experienced by perimenopausal and menopausal women. Chaste tree berry can also compete for binding at estrogen receptors, making it a great ingredient for supporting a normal, healthy mindset during the perimenopausal transition.

Why we love Menopause Balance, the hormone restorer

This product is specifically made for perimenopausal and menopausal women. The dosages in this formula have been changed to really support healthy hormones after the ovaries have stopped producing hormones.

Wild yam and Dong Quai really take center stage in this product to improve estrogen and progesterone after the ovaries have stopped producing them. We also added black cohosh to this formula, which also improves healthy estrogen levels.

I (Dr. Warren) am impressed with all the studies that have been done on black cohosh over the years. There has been extensive research that has proven its effectiveness in helping women, especially those in perimenopausal and menopausal stages. It’s been shown to significantly reduce menopause-related symptoms and improve mental and emotional wellbeing, even compared to double-blind, placebo-controlled studies. The isoflavones and cimicifugoside contained in black cohosh have also been shown to balance hormones.

Black cohosh can also be a wonderful aid in helping women dealing with fibroids. Iodine can also be paired to help reduce fibroids.
We hope you can find relief from your perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms while taking this powerful formula.
